Alhamdulillah, All Praise be to Allah.
The Hamilton Downtown Mosque will reopen its doors for regular prayers and Jummah congregations starting Monday 22nd June, 2020, In Sha Allah.
Safety of our attendees to the Masjid is very important for us. Therefore, while attending prayers, all attendees are kindly requested to adhere to the following implemented guidelines:
(No online registration through Mobile App required for five daily prayers).
o HDM will schedule 2 Jummah congregation at 1:30 PM and 2:15 PM
o Each Jummah congregation will gather up to a maximum of 120 brother’s prayer area (Online registration required through a mobile app called
“The Masjid App”), 60 brother’s community hall (On a first-come basis), and 40 sister’s prayer area (On a first-come basis).
o Upon reaching the maximum, additional people will have to wait outside to be admitted to the next session
o No access will be granted to the Masjid, for anyone who is sick and/or displaying any symptoms related to Covid-19
o The regulated 6 feet of physical distancing will be maintained while being congregated in the Masjid and on Masjid property
o It is mandatory for attendees to wear a mask to have access to the Masjid and to keep the mask all the time
o Hand sanitizers will be available at the entrance
o Attendees are requested to perform their ablution (wudhu) at home
o Attendees are requested to bring their own prayer mat
o Children below 10 years of age and the elders over 70 years of age please pray at home
o Greetings can only be offered verbally, no handshaking or hugging is allowed
o Attendees will be requested to leave the Masjid immediately after each salaat
